Niche Research Idea Generators

I came across another post where someone is having trouble with niche research or 'brainstorming', so I thought I'd post this.

This is from an ebook I created a little while back ("The Ultimate IM Toolbox") and lists websites & resources I've picked up here, elsewhere, and from my bookmarks file.

If you have any interesting or worthwhile 'brainstorming' links, please feel free to post them.

    Dang that's a huge list!

Thanks for the share although I really don't think we should be getting ideas off of Google patent search.

Great post mark (as usual). The one thing from your entire list that stands out for me is google.com/products. I now most all of my niche ideas from just refreshing this page.

My system (if you could call it that) is to have 4 sites open in tabs. Google products, ajaxwhois, Google Keywords tool and spyfu.

I first find a niche idea from google products, then I run the keyword through ajaxwhois to find an open domain, then I go to adwords kwt to get monthly exact search count and CPC numbers, finally I take the KWP (keyword phrase) through spyfu to compare CPC, advertisers and search count. Works great for me.
