I heard that creating backlinks for your articles can really boost the page rank.

I have been back-linking the articles in some social network websites and haven't been seeing much results.

Are they some really good places to create backlinks for your articles?

Would appreciate any feed back

Here are few ways to create backlinks:
Forum Posts add your link with keyword anchor text in your file
Blog Comments keyword in the "name" area, and then your url.
Submit your article to many article directory submission sites then bookmark it.
    I hope it will help!

Yep. Search this forum for Angela Edwards backlinks. $5/month for 30 sites and instructions to place backlinks. As long as the articles you've written feature keywords that are not highly competitive, those links will get your articles ranked. But honestly, if you don't know how to do keyword research to find "conquerable" keywords, you'll spin your wheels. The one is necessary before you do the other.

I have heard about this traffic bug service. I think its a great tool and worth using for building backlinks.
I'd just to add that I often do blog commenting. It helps in creating backlinks.

I've had great results using both Angela and Paul's packets combined on each of my articles. Between them you end up with a lot of high PR links pointing to your stuff

Best way is to post your articles in article directories and add your link in the signature and post/publish your article on different blogs/web 2.0 pages.

These will help you get effective backlinks.

Google may like the 'in-text' links best rather than all in the 'bio' at the bottom, so if you can submit articles for free to article directories and put 'in-text' links in there with your anchor keyword phrases you should do fine at getting backlinks.
