one thing i've read constantly on this forum is articles articles articles! Articles make a huge impact on an seo campaign, however, someone replied to a post saying something like "yeah but even if you submit 10 articles to 1 directory, it's only going to count as one link anyways" i read this a few weeks ago and can't find that thread now, but is this true? if so how is article writing useful acheiving backlinks? i'm really confused and don't want to be wasting my time, any help would be appreciated

    It's going to be 10 backlinks from that directory but since all those backlinks are coming from the same site you may not receive as much benefit as if those 10 backlinks were from 10 different sites. It's like the law of diminishing returns, or something like that.

    as for the rest of it, I don't write articles, so I dunno

    if you concentrate on posting useful articles on EzineArticles and some of the other top article directories in a consistent fashion... you are not going to waste your time.

    For example, EzineArticles sends a lot of link-juice over to your site and backlinks from there count for more than backlinks from other article directories

    but

    for better SEO efforts a variety of links coming from a variety of sources is what looks most natural to Google :-)
