Anyone here tried Chitka? How does it compare to Adsense? How are the payouts? Can you have both of them on the same site without losing your Adsense account?

    1. Yes

    2. Adsense is targeted on the visitor search term and site content, Chitika is targeted on search terms alone. Chitika is primarily for North American traffic while Adsense is more worldwide. Chitika combines both text and pictures while Adsense is primarily text based and it's image ads don't combine with the text.

    3. The Chitika payouts are decent but on the low side. You'll need a lot of traffic to make more than a few bucks a month. The amount paid per click is pretty consistent across niches/keywords. Adsense on a well targeted site might get $3-5 clicks while Chitika on the same site might get you 15 cents. Conversely, on a site where you got 2 cents for Adsense click you might score 15 cents on Chitika.

    4. Yes, but it's best on stick with a single form of monetization on a niche site that depends primarily on search engine traffic.

I lost my adsense account and replaced it with chitika across a range of sites. Overall I'd say that chitika brings about 1/5 or even less of what adsense would have, CTR is much lower, values of clicks are lower and obviously that makes the eCPM much lower.

If you have an adsense account, stick to it. It's not worth it to dilute your potential earnings by adding more ads that pay less and aren't as targeted.

What about Bidvertiser and others? I just always like to have a backup plan if Adsense ever goes wrong.

Am trying it out now. Results are not too good as yet but it's only my first week using Chitika. Too early to draw any conclusions.

Both the services have some limitations to the international publishers. For example, Chitika doesn't allow you to display some advanced ad types to the visitors which are not from the USA or Canada. But you'll get a better pay-per-click rating for the international users than with Google AdSense.

On the other hand, Google AdSense would provide you the most related advertisements, because of the huge advertisers database. Chitika doesn't have (and any other ad network) that opportunity, to show you the most relevant advertisements on your sites.

Good company but your going to need a huge mega site ranked on google in my opinion with very high amounts of Internet Traffic to make money online the fast easy way.
Even with Adsense your going to need high traffic.
I still say the best way to make money online is with selling products and shipping them out yourself..or sell a digital ebook online on automation
