I am looking for some assistance moving some negative press about one of my client's off of the front page of google for a few keywords.

There are two keywords, both have exact match competition below 5,000 (so they are not highly competitive words).

Does anybody know of a program or a consultant that can help us move the negative press off the first page fairly quickly?

We can create our own content and are fairly experienced with SEO. I just do not have a comprehensive strategy for this particular issue.

Also, we do not need to get our sites or properties to rank. We can work on improving the ranking of other competing sites.

Thanks in advance.

Justin

Just sharing some of my experience. I did this once for one of my client as well, pretty easy, but effective.

    1) Use Web 2.0 sites like hubpages, Squidoo etc, they rank pretty well. Create like 30 of them with your own article targeting the keyword and some LSI keywords, get them indexed by Google, then add about 10 to 20 angela links pointing to them, that should solve the problem (Senuke can do the submission, though angela links have to be manual, or you can use linking loophole).

    2) Do a Press Release with your keyword targeted, mass submit it with some of the great services out there.

The above 2 methods should be able to clear your problem, especially method #1, which you have full control over it and is close to free.

EDIT: We are not trying to move the bad press down, but to increase more properties to populate the first few pages of Google and outrank the bad press, then the bad press will go down.

If i'm not mistaking you can also use sub-domains, for example create about.site.com, contact.site.com blog.site.com

someone correct me if i am wrong, but that use to work

How you attack your plan hugely depends on who's hosting the bad press.

If it's a heavy weighted authority site, like ripoffreport, you might have to go straight to the juggler veins.

Find out all the exact matches you can find and produce content that matches the same keyword density and word count.

Creating a new blog or most of the web2.0 properties will not work unless you also have time to build up those properties. In any case it still takes more time and effort.

You will need a more authoritive properties...like ehow.com and about.com to place the content on. And create link wheels to those properties like the hubpages, squidoo...etc.

You probably will need to do some staging on properties like yahoo answers, answerbag, etc. Use the exact match queries as your guest ion and repeat them in the answer with referring content(yours).

After all that...if you really have to get serious...bh will get it done. Even then, some authority sites seem to be immune to even these techniques and you'll be dependant on "time aging".

Like I said...it really depends on the site authority that the bad press is on, as to how far you will have to go with this.
