Backlinks Through Redirects?

I was just thinking about whether backlinks are created through a redirect url.

For instance, I have an EZA article with a link to www.redirect-site.com, and that used to redirect to my hoplink. Now I changed the redirect url, and it does to a landing page on blogger.

So EZA==> Redirect site==>Landing Page.

Will backlinks appear from EZA for my landing page?

Thanks!

    Hmm, I wouldn't have thought so, unless the redirect site makes a 301 to the landing page. Even then, it will take some time to be picked up by Google.

    Otherwise, your EZA article is simply linking to the redirect site and not passing any value to the landing page.

    in my opinion , i think It is good if you link to your site directly

    As long as the redirect is a 301 then you will get all (99%) of the link juice.

    However because the link is actually pointing the another domain it may not show up in backlink checkers.

    To summarize, ensure the ezine article is indexed and a 301 redirect is used
