I was perusing all the WP adsense plug-ins tonight...boy, there are a lot of them! I'm just wondering if I could get some of your thoughts on your favorite adsense plug in for self hosted WP blogs, and why....

    Hello,
There are many good adsense plugins on WP. Currently im using the Adsense Injection, i like it because it inserts Adsense code in a random way into a pre-existing blog.

I am a bit biased here, because I've got a WSO about a WP AdSense plugin myself, but I still wanted to chime in with couple of questions.

What type of AdSense sites are you looking to build?

    - Niche AdSense mini-sites?
    - Growing interactive blogs with AdSense?
    - Large AdSense authority site?

That's because the type of business model you choose to go for, will also determine the type of widgets, plugins and layouts that would be useful to you in the long run.

For example: For AdSense mini-sites of about 10-15 pages a number of AdSense veterans report that high CTR layouts are the ones that look rather "simplistic" with mostly just one block of AdSense ads right below the headline of your article and before the actual article text. To achieve that type of setting you may need one type of plugin.

On the other hand, if you are looking for running an interactive blog with lots of posts and comments and the typical blog layout, you may find a different type of AdSense plugin useful for inserting ad blocks on multiple places on your site and in the sidebar... Layouts that often work in this setting are small blocks of two AdSense ads within a post, somewhere in the middle, plus s larger vertical AdSense block on the sidebar, below/within the site navigation. There are several different models here. This is where a plugin such as the WhyDoWork.com AdSense Plugin for Wordpress can come in handy.

Same goes for authority sites that can have hundreds of pages and articles, but that are not necessarily a "typical" blog. Here perhaps the WhyDoWork plugin will again be the preferred choice.

What type of site are you running?

I've been using Advertising Manager as it does Adsense really well, as well as other programs. It's super easy to use and I can use it the way XFactor suggested in his extremely useful post recently.

I am mostly concerned with niche minisites, 7_8_shortcuts; but would be interested in hearing the reasoning behind different adsense wp plugins for different types of sites.

My vote goes to Advertising Manager as well. I've used most of them and it is one of the easier ones to install.

If you want to add Advertising sitewide, I'd recommend Max Banner Ads (very simple to use).

I like MaxBanner ads. Now I do use the professional version. However, you can start off free.

Nice thing about using MaxBanner ads is that you have the ability to add all kinds of banner advertising, be it, amazon, clickbank, cpa, adsense, really any type of html or text link is fine.

It rotates ads for you and allows you the opportunity to post
      top of post
      middle of post
      top of blog
      footer of blog
obviously you can insert into side widgets as well, which leads me to my next comment.

What type of theme do you use? Reason I ask is that a lot of free themes, and probably a majority of premium themes (these are themes you pay for) actually have a adsense manager installed
      Or
they have widgets which if they were created with some AJAX programming are probably quite able of being manipulated to different parts of the page.

      Hope that helps,
      Cheers,

      Lisa

I've been using Easy Adsense bu Manoj Thulsidas. Been using it now for nearly a year and its actually quite good. He regularly updates it and the tweaks are pretty good.

All you do is just copy and paste in the code and away you go. It caters for search boxes as well as ads in the sidebars as well as in the body.

There is a feature which one must be aware of and that is there is a default setting where 5% of your ad revenue goes to the owner, this can be changed to 0 easily. Also, there is also a link to the owners site which displays under each ad but this can also be switched off easily.

Its a very good plugin and I use it with all my WP blogs!

By the way, Im in no way affiliated with the product, just someone who has been using it extensively.

    Hi

My favorite WP adsense plug in is Adsense Deluxe (Revived). Because it is very good tool. You need it even if you have all the other tools. It will help you big to get the money that google is offering for people who are doing online business or marketing.

    So, I prefer Adsense Deluxe.
