Does anyone know how to do this SERPS trick?

I see many of the review sites in the SERPS show up with stars next to there listing. Seems like this will draw the visitors attention toyour listing which will in turn cause more click throughs.

It's not a SERP trick, and as far as I know, it is only when people search
for certain items, or more specifically, local businesses. This is because
it is related to google maps. Do a search for coffee shops in los angeles
and you may get some that pop up with user ratings. BUT....these do
not appear first unless they rank that way. The stars have nothing to
do with it. You may get more clicks, but then maybe you won't. Add
to this the fact that you may get poor reviews. I don't know how this
star rating works for just any old website. It probably does not.

This is not a trick at all.
It is only seen if you have a StumbleUpon toolbar in your browser and the reviews refer to the reviews at SU.
