Ok I have been dipping my hands in SEO. It has never appealed to me BUT I thought I would give a try and diversify my BIZ rather than just rely on PPC

Now about a month ago, I got someone to write 60 articles on rentacoder. She did a fab job and I have posted most of these on my sites and a handful on ezinearticles. I also got articlebot for sending the articles to other directories mainly for backlinks and also using some of those popular backlink packages.

I was really getting a bit discouraged because everytime I started building backlinks on an article, the article will just dissapear of the face of google and most havent resurfaced. People have told me thats part of the game and thats what google dance does before establishing these articles.

But from the few that are showing in google. I now have a total of 94 subscribers on my opt in from the organic traffic and I checked my clickbank stats today and I have 2 SALES thats about $60.

Now these sales have really given me a kick and I am off to buidling more backlinks. Its so SWEET

  A mixture of the packets and I have send about 6 articles using articlebot to loads of directories and I have also used free traffic system....
  
  My posts are still buried where I have been building backlinks so I am getting a trickle of traffic from the other few posts showing in google...Will continue with backlinking and see what happens plus I am also internal linking my posts like crazy

Well done! I find that consistency is what really pays off in the end.

Doing productive stuff on regular bases. I must confess that I could achieve consistency in my business only through outsourcing. I put a little amount aside every week and had someone do few key SEO activities every day. This is where I started seeing consistent results. It's just that when it's someone else's job, the work gets done. No procrastination and getting sidetracked. That works for me.

I agree with 7_8_ shortcuts. The key is doing productive stuff on a regular basis. Like devoting a few hours each day for SEO.

Like in any business (and maybe even more) whole IM thing is full of raising and falls, but what matters most is that you`re gaining knowledge and skills which will become deadly weapons for many, many projects to come.
