Obviously Ezine has changed their policy with anchor text and reduced it to 3 words now. I know, old news; I am not complaining.

However, I have a list of long-tailed keyword phrases that I am trying to rank for.

So my question is: (Assuming my article is properly optimized for the keyword)
If I have a 6 word keyword phrase, will putting only the first 3 words of that phrase in the anchor text with a link to my landing page prevent my landing page from ranking for the 6 letter keyword phrase?

Not really. Just use the most relevant words.

I suggest you relevant keywords randomly as anchor text, find as many relevant keywords as you can and use them to make your backlink building look natural. Do not target only one keyword. Use variations of that and you will rank progressively for all of them

EZA is not the only important article directory!

Try others and you might even get more traffic than you would expect.

    Seriously!
