My backlinks aren't showing up! What's wrong?

After doing a search for the number of backlinks pointing to my site, I get 2! One from digg and another from stumbleupon. I've built about 60 links from Angela's packets, created RSS feeds for them, submitted and pinged. I also use Jetspinner to spin and submit my articles to over 200 directories. I purchased James' WSO on this forum and got a total of 591 bookmarks (which had RSS feeds created + submitted and pinged). My article was also accepted by EZA recently. Can someone please tell me why none of these backlinks are showing up?

    First thing:
See that these links are dofollow links.
    Second:
Let the search engine crawl these links.
    Third:
See that you are properly searching your backlinks or not.(your tool is properly working or not)

I know about Angela's packets of high PR back links. These donot give you fast results. You need to wait.

I had many sites showing only half of the links that I actually built over the months, I am not surprise, and those "links" that don't show is actually working, because all my keywords are now on page 1!

Not all backlinks will be shown, the most important part is always track your keywords and pages on SERP!

        When were these links created?

My personal experience has been that it can take weeks for Google to crawl the pages with your links, then it can take weeks for webmaster tools to pick them up and show them to you. Seriously, wait 4-6 weeks, create more links, make another website or two, then check again.

Some links might get deleted before they do you any good, especially if you're using Angela's or Paul's links, or anything like them. Not all of them last. Your profile might get deleted for being a spammer, or the website might go offline, etc, etc. You need to put in a lot of work to get some good links that will last a while.

Hope that helps! Just keep working at it and give it plenty of time. Google is like the glacier of the internets.

Very true, it takes time for Google to collect and index all links, just be patient!

I also agree that you must be careful with Angela's type of profile link, it works but if you make the profile spammy and put 10 links or so in one profile, your profile would get deleted very fast, and this trigger Google that you are spamming!

However, if you build proper profile with image / avatar, and only put 1 or 2 links in the "about me" section, and even better if you make up something about yourself, put the link between text, it become in-context link with more link juice...!

Just spin the text a bit for better link juice, normally if you setup your profile like a legitimate user, most owners won't know you are there for the purpose of link, and it stay there for a long long time...

I personally have no confidence in backlinks created on 'profile' pages - I don't think Google notices them anymore - or not for a very long time at least. If there is no 'substance' - like an article of 450 words or so behind these backlinks - then I think 'profile' links count for nothing.

From the evidence of my own testing and results, I simply cannot agree with this. They may count for little, as in you need volume, but they certainly do not count for nothing.

I certainly agree. I don't know if I do something different but my last batch were crawled and appear in Google without pinging or linking to them so theres no doubt they are being noticed. Keep in mind the alot of so called profiles are much more. You can write articles, blogs and post all kinds of things on many of them. Software vendors are only going to build moe and more features in them as time goes by.

I'm sorry but you are wrong...

Google does count profile links, as long as the domain has authority! Some people might say that domain PR 1 profile also work, this might be true, but I only tried on High domain PR sites!

And the higher of the PR, the less links I need to rank on page 1!

Like it or not, that's my own experience, I don't "think" how Google work, I experienced the power of Authority domain!

Yes, when the domain PR is low, you do need a lot to rank high..

Yes Google rewards slowly. It is very frustrating, but keep at it. It does make a difference.

Dont worry. You backlinks takes time to get indexed. And even after your backlinks get indexed, Google wont show all the backlinks. I hope you know why

Some of the guys here bang on about profile backlinks - many in this thread are giving sound advice. They can be good for your site. You can spam out thousands of them and you might hit a few home runs. In bulk and mixed in with other links they are fine. They certainly have their place in the mix, but they are almost fodder for the better links to feed on.
