Well I'm fortunate to have Verizon's Fios internet and yes it's ridiculously fast. From my experience, I found that I get randomly assigned IP addresses every time that I restart my router and that's a good thing I think. My questions is, if I have a different IP showing at the time that I create my many back links, is this a good thing? I've read so many posts saying that's it's important to have mixed IP addresses so that you do not leave such a big foot print. I'd like to hear from you guys.

I have Fios as well. You are correct that you should get a new IP each time you restart your router (or restart your computer). The reason sis good to have different IPs is because if you use the same IP over and over sites can IP ban you, so you would need to have a different IP to make new accounts.

I need to have a static IP on my Fios, so I use a proxy service instead that rotates proxies for me.

      Hi turbohips,

I think you needn't be concerned with changing your IP unless you are a big time spammer, which sadly some members of the forum are. Even if you are trying to be a massive spammer you will still end up getting your entire class C IP range banned. You need to have a zombie network, or as thmgoodw suggested a proxy network, though I'm not to sure how well proxies work since they can be identified and banned just as easily.

In fact just using open proxies can sometimes get your account banned:

Reason for the concern is that I just started to use a program that allows me to make tons of account and profiles within minutes. Cough, cough nuke, cough. Anyhow I have the selection available to use different proxies but wasn't sure if I needed it due to my IP always changing. Thanks for the info fellas. I'll play it safe and use the proxy change feature just to make sure.

I have SENuke as well and find the rotating proxies important if you are opening more than 1-2 accounts a day at some of the sites. That's in addition to using CCleaner to clean things out.

As for the proxies, mine rotates every 30 minutes so if the temp ban one i know it will be at most 29 minutes until the next IP (or I can just rotate it manually myself).
