Domain name plurals

All else equal, having a domain name which exactly matches your target keyword(s) is good for your rankings. Can any SEO people confirm whether having a plural form would get the same benefit as the exact match? For example if your keywords are "Chemistry forum" and your domain name was "Chemistryforums.com", would that be as good as "Chemistryforum.com"? This is ignoring resale value and the esthetics of the name as I know that the former domain name is more desirable, but am wondering about it purely from an SEO viewpoint.

    Doesn't matter. Websites get ranked, not domains.
    You can take dirtforum.com and rank #1 for chemistry forum.
    Where and what do you think warriorforum.com ranks for?
