Dreamweaver Template vs. Wordpress for SEO

Hi.
I have a current site that ranked very well (until I fiddled with it!). The current site uses a template from i3dthemes that is optimized for search engines.

I'm considering a complete redesign of my site and wanted to get some opinions about whether or not an html template would be better for SERP's or a Wordpress CMS.

If wordpress is the answer. How would I add content to the pages in a wysiwyg fashion. Wordpress doesn't make it easy to bold text ect without fiddling with the html...should i make the content in dreamweaver and cut/paste into the wordpress page?

Thanks Warriors,

I used to have HTML editor - my favorite XSitepro, but now I switch to wordpress for much faster setup and better SEO (You need to configure it, or get Jeff Johnson SEO plugin, it will auto configure new site for you!).

Wordpress blog build in ping feature, and many plugins support this. Your content will get index, rather fast as compared to traditional sites.

There are ping back and comments on your site, which encourage the search engine to visit more often for new content, provided your site is interactive, you have a lot of fans...

If you want to use wordpress as CMS, try this premium theme: WP-Remix, I use it and found it very powerful!

Don't worry about the add content part, it may take yo awhile before to learn, but well worth it! And in the future if you want to use auto blogging, you can easily implement it with wordpress.

Anyone to add more info here...?
