I have found a keyword with the no of competition pages = 220,000

And it has a global Monthly search Volume of 35,500, according to Google Keyword Suggestion Tool.

What do you say about it?

Could be a good keyword to target.

You'll want to make sure that the top positions in Google are not too hard to push over, i.e. does the keyword phrase appear in the url, page name, title, description and page content? Do they have quality backlinks (and lots of them) pointing back to that particular page?

did you select the exact mode in the adwords keyword tool or the broad one??make sure to choose the exact mode as this is what will give a close value as far as the expected traffic is concerned.

    That's probably a no then.

To get exact mode displaying there should be a dropdown box on the right hand side just above the column headers, probably says "Broad" match. Set this to "Exact" for a more acurate figure.

If you still can find it try searching the page in your browser for "match" or "broad".

    Hope this helps.
