Can you bid on the same keyword twice in Adwords?

Hi folks,

if you have two websites that are semi related and you would like to bid on the same keyword for the two sites - can this be done without raising flags with google?

If you use a MCC would this be ok?

If you use a mcc, use different contact details on the second account while using the same CC, would that work?

Any input/experience with this would be appreciated.

I know for sure you can in content, but I'm not to sure about search.

  it's for search. It's a friend of mine who was asking me about it. He only uses search at the moment.
  
  I know you can't do it within the same account. It will tell you straight away. I want to see if there's a 'legit' way to do it so Google wont ban you.

yes definately you can do this with seperate account with different website name

you cannot advertise 1 website with two accounts it is against Adwords TOS
