Search One - Go to google.com in browser auto redirects to .co.uk (search the web radio button enabled) I then do the search.

Search Two - Market Samurai top ten results overview.

Search Three - Inbuilt Google search on safari browser.

I am getting three totally different serps for the same keyword? I am based in the UK, my future sites will be placed on a US webhosting company.

Which one should I be reviewing for my keyword research?

SERPS are different for local and .com search engine. Since you are based out of UK your toolbar must be having settings that redirect to .co.uk and hence you see those SERPS.

I can't comment upon Market Samurai.

Search three: .com may show different results on two different browsers depending upon your browsing history. So if you have been using safari regularly and visit your site by searching and clicking in Google then your browsing history will always pull your site to the top in YOUR browser.

    Hope it helps

I always take my results in Opera to be the most accurate - by default it gives you the .com results

This is something that is very common with Google search. Most of us use the search facilities built into our browser, so Google normally append other values to the search url (don't ask me, I have no idea why). And it normally returns different results.

But your potential target users will most likely use Google main site to run a search based on your keyword. So focus on that and you'll be fine.

Well, it is often with search engine because of different data centers. You can try Datacentre Tool to check ranking in all datacentres at-

So am i still getting uk results even if i use google.com

how can i turn off uk targeting completely? what do you use?
    Hi P,

    Glad to help.

Google.com in the UK does not show Google USA results.

I use 2 tools and cross check them:

GoogleGlobal for Firefox (plugin - right click on your Google search results page and select USA to see results).

Google Ad Preview Tool (select Google.com AND USA).

These sometimes differ but will give you a good idea.
