Would like to see how you guys go about setting up a campaign for a site you wish to promote

do you write down your seed words first for different adgroups

how many keywords do you put in each adgroup

what do you usually start at bidding? 25cents or higher?

What do you set for campaign budget?

Do you use any tools to gather keywords

do you use any tools to sort keywods into groups?

do you use {keyword:mainkeyword} token in ads?

thanks

The first thing you have to do is pick a niche you are familiar with and passionate about. Then you have to do keyword research to find keywords that relate to your niche. Put keywords you find in your title and in your ad but try to use them naturally. For instants here is an ad campaign that I have tried.

    Looking for an LG Shine
Get a free LG Shine when you sign
a two year contract. Free Shipping

Then I'll use keywords that are related to this ad group, example:

    Lg Shine
    Free Lg Shine
    LG Shine Black
    new LG Shine
    etc
    etc
    etc

Try to use more keywords in your ad if you can, the more relevant your ad the more clicks you will get.

Then I'll make up another ad group and use different keywords for that group but still promoting the same product.

If you want to promote clickbank products then go to clickbank and do a search for products you want to promote. when you find something then look to see if they have an affiliate program, usually it will be at the bottom of the page. A lot of the product creators will give you ads and keyword list to help you get started.

    Hope this helps

      Hi roley,

That's a lot of questions for a single post. Most of them have been discussed extensively on this forum.

Why don't you read this forum and search for topics that interest you. If you have a question that you don't see the answer to then make a post about that specific topic.

To answer you questions in a general way, I would say that you should do a lot of keyword research. Find every keyword you can and then setup your ad groups with a very tight focus (one or two keywords per group).

As far as tools go I would say that Google's Keyword Tool is your best bet and Google's AdWords Editor will help you manage your ad groups.

There are many other tools on the market, but I would recommend that you master the basics before spending a lot on tools that you may not need.

    hi,
For setting up campaign we need to select ad title and a short description..The description should be about your product/site.If we are adding keywords as title will increase clicks..The another important thing is keyword selection the keyword should be strictly related to the product/site.
The another thing is our ads visibility so we have to analyze other ads in the came category and set cost for each click..If we are creating more adgroups with different keywords will increase the number of clicks..Can anyone help me by giving some optimization technics in yahoo?

    Thanks,

I won't use dynamic keyword insertion anymore.

I use one keyword per group even if I have keywords that are very similar - [] and "" and sometimes broad match.

Try to build a decent negative keyword list, Can be small to start but I always try to grow it.

Even if a keyword has made me a couple of sales before but does not have a good track record I chuck it if I can't make it work.

Ad uses text found on the landing page whenever possible.

Every couple of days I look at my average CPC and if it's lower then my max CPC I will lower my max CPC to a little above the average and below what I previously had. I have noticed that Google will often charge close to what you are willing to spend and if you lower your CPC bym say, .25 they will charge you less than before while you will often retain about the same ad position. This is my experience and I assume if your campaign is doing decently. I don't rely on Google saying "wow this is doing good let's charge him .25 instead of 1.25 because it appears to be what people are looking for". No way. Your CPC will fluctuate but often you will find that you are paying more than you have to when you think Google will just charge you less for a well performing campaign. Don't bet on it.
