Two URLs, one website: How to correct it in Google?

Hey guys,

Wondered if some of you could spare me a minute to help me out with this issue.

My website was (and is really): zephyrwriting.net84.net

That URL was the one provided by the webhost. Over time it had got indexed with Google and so on.

Recently, I purchased www.zephyrwriting.com and linked it to that site.

My question is this: the old URL still has indexed webpages, how do I switch them over to the new URL?

When I tried searching for answers, most that I came up with were regarding migrating websites completely to a different host, which does not apply in my case.

-Vish.

    Hi Zeph,

Use 301 Redirects in an .HTACCESS file on your old site.
Point (redirect) the old pages to the new pages.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Jay, seems to be working, I think.
