I've heard stories of people gaining adsense revenue in there blogspot websites and blogger decides to delete the persons account rather than pay(since blogger is actually google)?

Is this true? should I be worried about my blogger blogs?

Host them on your own domain, or host a WP blog on your domain.

Truth is, no matter what it is, you can't put all your eggs in one basket. You'd much rather be at the point where if you got banned, you'll say "oh well" not "oh S***"

No joke, do a little bit of everything. Maybe try to find something like adsense but not. Its certainly a bitch if they out of nowhere decide to delete or ban your adsense account.

Why stick with Blogger when you have so much more freedom and options by hosting your own blog using wordpress?

      1. Free
      2. No security issues
      3. No worry about resources like on a shared hosting account

The chance of losing them is waaayyyy overblown. Like BG said, unless you are doing stuff you shouldn't you've got no worry.

I have had blogs deleted before - but they were blatantly made for adsense and af marketing.

If your a genuine blogger they wont delete them

They'll only delete blogs and/or accounts when they're engaged in blatant link spamming or other dark tinted headgear techniques.

A blog may get temporarily disabled if you accidentally trigger an anti-spam bot. For example, doing a quick cut-paste-post can trigger the bot and lock the account. In this case, you can get it re-enabled within a few days by requesting a manual review. Also make sure that you use an email that you monitor since some people who've had a blog deleted simply neglected to request a manual review. Just make sure that any blogs that you put on Blogger are manual review worthy and you'll be fine.

As nice as free is is it worth knowing that someone can take all you hard work away at the click of a button?

I would seriously look into moving your blogs to your own hosting account- I have a friend who has put immense work into a blogger blog for years, but it is never really going to be 'hers'...basically she has no control over it- moving your blogs might be a hassle a first but you will have peace of mind.

its true, that blogger is the property of Google, and Google can banned your blog, incase they find anything fishy or spam.

my tip = websites on paid hosting is better then free hosting websites (blogger)
