Guys need your advice.

For SEO of a profitable keyword.

which is better?

keyword.com keywords use your keywords to GO direct to web pages and files.

or

wwwsitename.com/keyword/

is there any difference? from SEO?

Just wondering either I can make 20 sites each with its own information or 1 site with 20 pages.

just wondering.

From a sales point of view Is it better to have 20 sites or just 1 ?

thanks for the advice

Keyword in the domain is more effective SEO-wise, but you can overcome that particular handicap with a bit of extra link juice if you'd prefer to do things on one site. If you're looking for every little bit of SEO performance, though, you want an exact keyword domain.

Totally depends on your goal. If all you're doing is referring people to a product through an affiliate link, it really doesn't matter. All you need to care about is getting a high place in the SERPs and pre-selling visitors.

If you're building a list, trying to brand yourself as an expert in the niche, or marketing your own product, one site is better. You want to make it as easy as possible for your customer base to find you and stay up to date with your doings. Oh, and to buy your stuff, of course

There is very little to be gained from either nowadays, its your onpage content, relevance and links that counts

The first example where the keyword is in the TLD works pretty good with smaller minisites with less competitive keywords. If you're going long term and building tons of backlinks both to the homepage and inner pages then it probably won't matter much.

If you ask a dozen people, you will probably get fifteen different answers. I am not an expert, but here is my thinking.

If you get a domain with your main key word, and then the secondary key words are used in the additional pages. That way, you have one site that you need to rank and you are not spreading your work around multiple sites. The pages of your site can help to pass link juice to each other.
