I've seen questions about how to get pages or websites indexed faster. I've heard answers that say that you should be patient - Google will finally get around to it.

You can help Google get "around to it". I know that all the experts in here know about this one - but I've seen so many beginners (or self-proclaimed gurus) ask this question. I will give you one of the answers that I have experienced.

Signature links. A popular forum where it is well travelled will help you get your page or site indexed a lot quicker. You don't have to wait around for Google. Yes - the ppl that say that Google will get to your site and index it eventually - they are right. but why wait?

In the past, I have had a lot of new web 2.0 props out there as well as pages from my own site (or client's sites) that needed indexed. This is when I point a sig link towards it. If I just waited for Google to come around and index my web 2.0 properties - that could take forever.
I hope this helps answer some questions out there.

  • ANY site that is frequently crawled that you can place a link on will get your site indexed. But ranking is a whole different task. Too many people worry about "how fast". When what really matters is rank.

there is basically 3 ways to do this..

    1) socially bookmark the page link from a service like propeller
    2) create an rss feed and add your links to it... submit the rss feed then everytime you create a new link.. add the links to the feed and ping the feed
    3) ping the feed (I don't find this as effective as rss feed addtions + pinging though)

personally I use 1 + 2 and get good results..

I agree with this. I have had some really good results with just these two points.

I answered this in another thread.. the best method that WORKS is to find a high pr page or blog - whatever and post a meaningful comment with your link in the post and DO NOT SPAM and again your site will get indexed in "hours"... Look for pages with PR of 5 or better. Any experienced person in SEO or having spent enough time online testing strategies will tell you the same thing.

I can't really speak to signature links but again this method explained above works the fastest.
