Basically, in the old days people used to use keywords throughout a sentance loads of times in order to target that keyword with the search engines. Take this sentence as an example:-

Tiger Woods crashed his car. Tiger Woods was taken to hospital. Due to his injuries Tiger Woods can now not play in the latest tournament.

Guess what the keyword is .............. Now here is a possible LSI version of the same:-

Tiger Woods crashed his car. The US Open Champion was taken to hospital. Due to his injuries he can now not play in the Chevron World Challenge.

So now you have replaced Tiger Woods with keywords related to Golf in general i.e. Tiger Woods - US Open - Chevron World Challenge ....

Very simplistic example but that gives you an idea.

    Regards

    Jeff

Is this what Google is focusing on when crawling webpages and indexing?

      Hi,

If you put the your keywords in Google, then find out who is the number one site, you can go to the keyword tool and put the name of the site in.

If you search on that you will find all the most relevant words (as Google sees it). If you use those in your text, it will help you get higher up the search engine, allegedly.

I have heard this, and have begun using it, but I do not have conclusive proof that it works just yet. It was from a pretty reliable source though, somebody Hanson - might be Andrew.

Sorry I am not any clearer on that name, I watched the YouTube videos but can't seem to find them now.
