Hi Warriors,

I'm curious, I heard that the the new Google rule rolling out in early 2010 seems to indicate that Keyword density will be no longer useful and that page load speed will be a factor.

Does anyone know about this?

I think these have always been the case for a while now. People keep going on about kw density but from the better sources I've heard it hasn't been much of a factor like it used to.

keyword density hasn't mattered in Google for a long time. Google have stated that they do not calculate keyword density as this is a poor indicator of the content of a page and easy to fool.

keyword placement is how Google understands the content of a page.

It doesn't seem that useful now to be honest. That changed with one of Google's updates like 2 years ago.

So what are the key factors that you base your SEO methods off?

Keyword density has not been a factor for years. The search engines are all working on improving their recognition of "topical relevancy". I recently wrote in detail about this.

So if density doesn't matter then how does google know your content is relevant to the search term?
