I did a small fast scan on Link Development category and found that 70% of people are asking same question "how to make backlinks" or "please tell the list of top directories" or "is stumbling good" etc etc.

In my opinion all are good but we really doesn't have time to do this. Many use auto submitter and get Bans. So I just made a manual list of TOP 600+ directories which are SEO friendly and have HIGH Alexa and Google pr.

No buddy, if the links I provide would be clickable than it would be a bit of spam on my page.

A page has to include certain number of urls', excluding it may harm SEO status. Thats the reasson why I just gave a non clickable url's

Thank you for this list. I have been looking for something like this.

When writing a blog, do you submit all the articles you use as backlinks into directory sites like these too?

or is that too time consuming?

No not always. I do the submission of my homepage on these 600+ direcotries and later I dont bother about them. Once they accpet your site then you dont have to resubmit your site on these direcotries.

  I could use nofolow but this step for 600+ url is not easy task. I would have to do this for 1 hours adding "nofolow" code. And I dont think there is any harm in not giving clickable url as it look fresh and clean.
  
  Clickable links would have looked spammy and messy. Sorry readers if it looked awful without url. I will keep it in mind next time.

Hey Candace,
Not saying you should have made the list clickable, but here is a tip... it should never take more than a few seconds to make tons of links clickable or even later add no follow,, just search and replace.. bingo clickable 1,000 links in about a second..
I would give an example but am not allowed to add urls to my post...

Great list but I always question myself if submitting my site to these directories are worth it. It could be week or months until they get approved if approved at all? From what I hear as well Google no longer counts directories such as these as part of their point system to gain PR ranking?

And here is my tip for people who wish the links were clickable. Highlight five or ten at a time, then go to URLOpener Productivity Tool- Open multiple websites at the same time. Paste in the box and hit submit. Don't worry about removing the #'s. Then click open all and it will open every link in a separate tab. This can be a great time saver if you have a list of urls that you want to open.
