Hey guys what have you found to be the perefect page length. I currently have a block of text about 100 words long and then another 15-20 words in links.

Any input appreciated,

Thanks,

Depends on your Goal. For a page I want ranked organically (ie blog post), I go with 400+ words, usually a few out-bound links. For certain PPC campaigns, I tend to have about 200 words or so that I dynamically fill with the bidded keyword to help with quality score.

Well its the main page for a site i sell products on. looking at the sites above me for the keyword they have a lot more on page text and fewer incoming links so i'm woundering if this is a reason i'm not moving up.

Probably the best thing to do would be to test it. Add more text.

Also, make sure your text is highly relevant and not just 'sort of' relevant.

Normally, I am using about 100-120 words and which is always with proper keyword density and I always give one outbound link from my post (to a good, authority site) - I used to get more traffic to my pages due to fresh and summarized content.
