Xfactor's AdSense Method - Why Am I Losing Rankings?

I have been following Xfactor's method for 2 months and noticed that several of my websites were constantly dropping in rankings. For example, i have taken one website from #54 to #8 but weeks after that it dropped to #12 then #18 and now it is at #20.

I asked others about the issue, but they report strong rankings. So what is happening in my case? Why i lose rankings? Is it because of competition constantly optimizing for keywords and building backlinks or Google "dances" on my sites? If it "dances" then it is pretty strange since i only bookmarked them and didn't do serious link building and they are 2 months old. What if "Google Caffeine" is in action? Maybe i should wait? I just hope my websites will come back to high rankings.

One thing is for sure - Google's algorithm is unpredictable. What do you think guys? Any suggestions? Tips?

    I find some of my sites will increase in rankings after the number of inbound links increases. Then after a couple of months of no new links the ranking might go down like you described.

    Have you tried increasing the number of relevant, one-way inbound links to your sites?

    i only bookmarked them and didn't do serious link building and they are 2 months old.
    So, in other words, you actually didn't follow xfactor's instructions, and now you're wondering why it isn't working for you? Maybe you should read the book/thread again. I don't think he said it was ok to skip the backlinking part.

      What concerns me is why websites lose rankings that soon. If i have 50 websites and need to constantly build backlinks to maintaining their rankings, this job turns into full time endless job and payoff is little. Just think how many articles i will need to outsource. I would think twice before expanding my empire to 100 sites.

        You're making excuses. Straight up, you're looking for a reason to NOT do the work. Try getting a few worthwhile backlinks, then see if your site slips in the rankings as much.

        If you're making money, outsourcing articles won't really be such a big deal, will it? 100 articles per month (1 per site) is MAYBE $500 if you don't bother shopping around. If you've got 100 sites up, hopefully you're making enough that you can afford that much in business expenses per month, because if not, something is very wrong.

        1) Your respective site's competitors probably do more SE optimizing than you do that each site goes down in ranking after only days.. The keywords that you are targeting might be in a very competitive niche..

        2) Focus first on your websites that are earning, rather than having 100 sites without much income coming from them.. You'll be at the losing end once the renewal period of your sites come..

    Always keep the content on your site fresh. Google loves fresh content.

        Every page uploaded for a static site is a fresh content for Google.. Just make sure that these new pages have keywords that you are targeting to rank high in SERPs..

    Well, it really good to have keywords in your domain name as it has atleast some influence in ranking a site.

    You are losing rankings because an XFactor Adsesne site has ZERO autority. Websites rank because they have authrority. Your site gets the boost for a short while due to the domain weighting.

    After that short while the other larger, more authority sites begin eating up your ranking and take your place in the engine. Unfortunately this is how it works and building these tiny sites is like building a house on quicksand.

    I might add it's not about the backlinks at all. It's about the authority.

    You're not following his instructions. You also using low-value backlinks. If you look around, Google gives each new website the case of a doubt in the beginning and rankings can be good. Once the honeymoon is over you better show some good backlinks as otherwise your rankings are going down - exactly what is happening here.

    If you have 50 sites build, take 5 of those and start pushing those. Write articles and post them to Ezinearticles. Your sites should come back and earn money. Use that money and use it to outsource the article writing if you want to. Or write your own articles. Write 10 articles per website (=50 articles). The let them sit and grab the next 5. Rinse and repeat. When you reach 25 websites, go back to the first 5 and do it again (= 10 articles).

    You are doing SEO. You need patience and you need to be persistent.

      Untrue, the sites are all destined to plummet because the method is not as solid as it is made out to be. Try "automatic cat litter boxes" in Google.com, there's a site there that beats the XFactor method right out of the water, by being an authrority with more than a few different pages.

    Interesting. In my searches I've come across this site www.groomingtipsformen.com
    It been sitting firmly in the nr 1 spot for the keyword grooming tips for men. Is this the perfect adsense/amazon site? A lot of pages/internal links/ adsense blends in perfectly. Not stuffed with amazon.

    Can you please have a look at it and tell me is this how a real site must look like? I'm sure this guy gets a constant income from this site.

      That looks much better than most XFactor sites I've seen but look at the traffic. It's miniscule in comparison to what is needed to get by. Maybe a coffee paid for every 2 months if lucky. Try this The Lose Weight Diet - FREE weight loss diet plan.

    As your domains age, they will stop moving around so much. Give it time - it all takes time.

    Try watching some of the videos by Matt Cutts. Backlinks are extremely important, but also with other SEO on-page implementations. Authority sites are given authority due to their backlinks. What do you think "authority" is?

      My thoughts exactly!

      Just having 100 or even 1000 pages on a site will not give you authority in Google if you do not have quality content or quality incoming links.

      Authority mainly comes from having many quality incoming links (amongst other things).

      I did not analyse the term authority so I think it's irrelevant that I should go listen to Matt Cutt's. What's relevant is that this guy is putting his hard work into something that isn't working.
