I Need SEO Advice/Help

I seem to be at a hault for quit a while with my website moving in the SERPS. I have been ranked on the first page between position 3-8 for some main keywords and can't seem to get them to move higher. The keywords aren't heavily searched (between 500-5000 per month, so I need them in the top 3) I have noticed that profiles aren't helping much lately and am looking to use other methods. This is what I have done already:
1. Press Releases-about 5 total
2. Articles-about 100 uniques. (most spun)
3. Blog comenting-very little
4. Articles on web 2.0 properties-probably between 50-75
5. Social bookmarking (member of SB-101)

I am thinking about hiring someone to do some blog comenting-maybe 5-10 per day. Is this a good idea, or are there other methods that I should be using to get my site ranking higher?

    Hi,I think there are more ways that you can try.
    You can set up a group of blogs, updating them frequently, while in these entries you can insert your keywords. Bookmark these bogs then, soon they will be indexed.
    Forum posting still works, but you better find those allows signature. You can go to find dofollow forums and also free ads forums, which help a lot in keywords ranking stuff.
