Please Help!! Google adwords quality score-budget impact

Hi All
I could do with some advise please.
I work for a company providing seo services - I do not provide ppc services as I need to work on this area before I feel I can start to charge for such a service.

One of the companies that I work for manages there own ppc campaign and are doing a great job. There adwords score is great for many keywords and they are appearing in the yellow shaded area for the majority of there keywords.

This company has called me today asking if there campaign will be affected if they removed the campaigns during the festive season to save money as many of the adds they are placing are for local traders who will not be accepting work during this period.

Im not too sure what the impact will be. All I know is that the adwords score is very important. I know adwords can be paused or budgets reduced however am not sure if this would affect the positions when they go full steam ahead after xmas.

I know there is also a facility provided for scheduled adds and was wondering what this company should do in order to save money and maintain there positions once xmas has passed.
