How to find and hire a PPC manager

I posted this in the main forum but think I should have posted here:

I'm looking to find a PPC manager to handle my adword campaigns. I do a lot of workshops and national seminars so I need someone that can choose keywords, delete non-performing keywords and adjust it by city.

I've never outsourced this and generally fill rooms via radio, DM and JV's.

I've played with it briefly but just don't have the time or expertise to manage it effectively.

So my questions are:
Would it be better to hire a company or individual?
How is the compensation generally determined?
What are some good pre-qualifying questions?
Are their any recommendations from people on this forum?

Any pitfalls to avoid?

Thanks,
Luke

You need to go to google and type ppc management, then look for companies that have good reviews and feedbacks, some ppc companies charge a setup fee and a fee to maintain your account, the setup fee stays the same, the maintain fee is set + if your budget is larger than you pay a additional fee on top of the regular maintenance fee.

You want a company that knows what they are doing, you want for them to support you on keyword creations, Great ads, landing page support (help you improve landing page), this all helps in your conversions and the profits you can make.

Just a quick one, but I believe Simon Leung was/is offering these type of services.

Seeing as though he used to work at Google, and was involved with the Adwords team, he would possibly be someone who might know a thing or two about PPC.

I believe his services offered something along these lines.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

I would recommend Simon Leung as well. I personally have not used his services but people I know that have, have had only good things to say.

I can't say from personal experience BUT what I have heard more than a few times from people using different companies is that they are not very good.

While they often can do better than many people can do with their own campaigns I would much rather do it myself if I can.

There's also the danger that someone you hired might mess with your campaign.

I'm not saying don't do it but do your due diligence and investigate a person or company before you go with them if you really have a good reason for wanting someone to manage your PPC campaigns for you.
