    Hi socomplete,

The way I did it was to create/aquire a site building system, and then build lots of them.

My main goal was to rank in Google, but inevitably, I came across some that didn't, but ranked high in other engines.

Then I tried to understand why.

    Two clues -

    MSN/bing usually takes time.

    Yahoo loves decent expired domains.

Don't think that the traffic from these engines is worthless - it's not. It's often better.

The best way to learn about ANY engine (in my opinion) is to do what I did - build sites, observe, test, observe, tweak, observe etc.

Can you elaborate on your findings, regarding Yahoo/Bing - as I actually found it not to be the case.

In the end it's all about how many good links there is to your website. And how much good content you have in your website.

For Bing and Yahoo it must be the same thing.

Sometimes the warrior forum reminds me of the game, chinese whisper. Someone makes a bold statement, 20 warriors believe it and then spread it, but every time it gets passed along the facts change.

What's even funnier, in fact hilarious is warriors answering questions with

        "I guess its the same"

        "Backlink strategy and good content"

Have you tested this for yourself?

Instead of trying to flog off your WSO in your signature, try testing. Give me a report on actual findings, different variables, comparisons and testing. I'll happily pay for that. Stop feeding this community with rehashed rubbish or speculation.

The Bible this, the expert this, the guru this....Please!

Test things out for yourself, you'll be suprised what you learn.

Bing to some extent MSN, is a different ball game. Content and a comprehensive link building strategy? Keep banging your head against the wall because someone else told you so.

Sorry but it must be said!

We tried this before in our marketing plan. Focusing on other search engines. The effort wasn't worth it so we went back focusing on google.

I have had some random ranking in bing. One site was one week old with almost no links and it was 20 something already

I've extensive experience dealing with Yahoo (Yahoo is much bigger than Google in the Asia market).

After battling with Yahoo for years I can tell you for certain:
Yahoo is all about age and its own products.

It doesn't matter if you have a shiny site with original content and strong backlinks, the perfect html tags, perfect keyword density, perfect optimization.

Sometimes you won't even get in page 10.

What stayed in page 1 for years? Some 10 years old site with broken html and lots of geocities backlinks, ancient yahoo directory backlinks, yahoo blog spams backlinks, yahoo answer spams backlinks.

The only times I managed to make new sites stay in page 1 for more than 3 months is with .gov or well know organization .org back links. (I am talking about mid-high competitive key words).

Now Geocities is gone you might actually have a chance with the yahoo blog/yahoo answer angle.

    Good luck
