Hi,

I have made three new websites. Now I want to link them with each other.

I want to place one site-wide text link of the two sites in the third's footer and similiraly for the first two websites.

And one link with 125x125 banners of the two sites in the third's side-bar and similarly for the first two sites.

All I want to know is;

1) Is this a good practice to get backlinks for your websites?
2) Is this allowed by Google and Other SEs?

Kindly, let me know!

Thanks
DIMSKK

None of that sounds worth the time it would take to do it. Just build inbound links to each site, especially for new sites.

    Strongly advise against this.

Look for inbounds outside your circle of sites. If you want to link them together, use nofollow.

What can you say about ehow? (Found it after posting this thread) It has links to three sites on all its pages in the footer. And those three sites also have links to ehow on all their pages. This is why each of them has tooooo many backlinks!

        ????

Ehow is an established site, PR7 and gets mad links form other sites all over the world. I don't see how you can compare your sites to that. Jazbo is right here. Its not even worth the time at this point. Get backlinks from established sites linking to your own trio of new zero PR sites is not even something to be thinking about.

With only three sites I think you'll be fine.

You're not going to set off any google alarms if you are linking three of your own sites to each other.

Cross-linking 300 of your own sites together is a different story.

Ok. Thanks for sharing the info. Most people told me that it is worthwile to do this. So, I think I should do it.

But all of them have same IP. Should I buy unique IP for each or it does not have any effect???

There could be a little risk interlinking between the same IP sites as it may be construed as trying to manipulate the SERPS. However for 3 sites that is no issue. If the 3 sites are related topics you may get increased traffic otherwise there is no real benefit as the backlinks you received, if ever, are irrelevant links.
