Help Please, Canonicalization Problem:

We have been trying to figure out for some time now about how to get our website on the correct track for google. We have used their canonicalization tool and it doesnt seem to be working. The last pr update showed this. Previously wwwBidavilla and bidavilla both were a pr 2( horrible). After we made these changes in the canonicalization tool now bidavilla is a pr1 and wwwbidavilla is a pr2.

can anyone advise?

    Be consistent. Join Google Webmaster and tell them there in addition to your tag what you prefer.

    Then it's up to people who link to you. And you can't just go out there and change all the links that already exist.

    You have to be consistent and give it time.

    I prefer WWW simply because that is the mindset of the typical user.

    You are not going to change the behaviors of everyone and no matter what you do you will have some people linking to you in a way you do not prefer.
