How to tell if your in the sand box?

Hey all i have in the last month created a website and i have been linking and writing articles and linking them to my site and i can't see myself in the search results is this just because my website is new or because it has been placed in the sand box? how can you tell?

    A lot of things can factor in here. Are you saying you're not indexed at all, or just way deep in the SERPS?

    Your website should be indexed in a month. Even if you have 0 links pointed to your site Google is usually able to at least acknowledge its existence in this amount of time.
