Find correct amount of traffic for keyword

I've been using google keyword tool, for finding traffic volume for keywords. I don't really see the point of using another service, since the numbers are coming direct from the source. However recently i've been getting traffic figures for keywords which are completely wrong, and much lower. So i was wondering what other ways can i keep track of impressions for keywords. I was thinkg google adwords, but adwords account was banned recently, so i can't really use that to measure impressions.

    I think that it is important to remember that Google is not the only search engine that is in existence. You have to remember that alot of people still use yahoo, and with bing doing a massive advertising, people are starting to use that as well. Google is not the end all be all, even though that they would like everyone in the world to think that!

    I like to use google adwords keyword tool and estibot to get an idea of how much things really get searched for. Comparing these 2 help give me a better idea about potential domain names.

    Sorry to hear about your Adwords ban. It is the only accurate measure of Google traffic for a particular keyword. Other methods may come close, though.
