There should be a spot where you choose to exclusively use the content network.

If not just set search bids to 0.01 or something so they don't show.

Are you sure its saying you have to ? or is it saying to test the ad that you can use the search network, the ad not showing ? are you giving it enough love ? ($)

    Good idea...

No it's not a $ issue I bid 10c but it is a very obscure kw with almost no competition on the content network not a low search volume issue either...

    I'll figure it out.

sounds like it should be fine then, just give it a little time time to filter / display and there can be a very small time lag in the G display output.

Glad you are savvy enough to understand that advertising on the search network can be a very bad and expensive thing UNLESS you know what you are doing.

Start very slowly with PPC - and by all means, make sure that you set spending limits per day. I personally know more than one person who lost a small fortune because they kept an ad running, forgot to turn it off and realized it only when Google charged them large amounts of money.

PPC can be a good thing, but most people lose money. It takes a while to understand the nuances of PPC.
