Hey guys,

I've always done strictly SEO, but never PPC. So, I was putting together my very first Adwords campaign.

Initially, I worked for hours to create 6 custom banners for an Image Ad campaign for the Content Network. I had to wait 3 days while they reviewed the ad.

They disapproved my ad stating it was "Adult". It was a romantic silhouette of a couple standing by a sunset. Nothing vulgar at all.

So, I gave in and deleted my custom banners from the ad and went with one of their own images.

I waited several more days only to be "Disapproved" again!

By now, I was a bit frustrated. It had been over a week and they only tell me that the ad still show "Adult" images.

I sent a response and asked for an explanation since I using their image, but got no response via email whatsoever.

So, I decided to read the "Editorial Guidelines" in detail. I considered that there may have been a problem in the URL that was showing in the ad.

No prob. I went and registered a New domain that should work fine.

I went and updated my ad for the third time and changed the URL to my new domain.

Waited about 4 more days for a Review. BAM!! This morning, I am "Disapproved" again?!?!?!?

I searched the net, high and low for a customer service phone number and found that no one but mega companies like Amazon, EBay, etc., are able to get real phone support. WHAT???

I called their phone number and they have an Automated Screening. It asks for your Adwords Account number. Once it finds out that you are a "small-time advertiser", it promptly advises you that "Google can't provide phone support to all Adwords accounts" and directs you back to the website.

Google has ALWAYS been my favorite search engine, even long before I started this IM stuff, but now they have left a really bad taste.

Is there ANYONE out there that knows how to contact a Live person that will assist me. It can be via phone or an email.

I'm hoping maybe some of my fellow Warriors can assist.

Thanks

What about the content of the site? It's just not the banner/ad itself that Google takes into consideration.

If the site itself crosses any of Google's lines, that may be your problem. You could change your adas much as you like, but if they have a problem with your site, they will never approve your ad.

      At least that's my understanding!

Good luck getting any kind of support from google, that is one of my biggest gripes about this company, even their support forums you never get an answer from Google workers, it is always someone just like us who has just been answering questions for a long time.

I know they must have live chat. Login to your account and then paste this link into your browser's address bar: How do I contact an AdWords representative? - AdWords Help

Then on the help page you should see chat to appear. I am not sure about all this, this might not work as it worked once for me, but you should try. If live chat agent is available, the message should pop-up there in upper right corner. Try this in the morning and in the evening and the other day.

Good luck with this, I never received any help from chat. While I was able to connect, all I received was canned responses. One thing about G is they sure need to learn to provide customer service.

The big G dont have a good customer service. Why dont you use another ppc instead? Or just find a high quality site with a good traffic and buy some banner spot.
