Question About Adsense Ad Creation

If I am using a general 336x280 adsense block for the majority of my sites, I can just copy and paste the code to each site as well as all the pages of each site right? (assuming I create a new URL channel for each site)

I thought I read somewhere that you had to create new code for each page, which seems ridiculous; but just want to confirm either way before I waste my time doing something like that.

Are you using Wordpress? There are several plugins that will do this for you

That's what I have been doing. Once I get the colors the way I want, I will go to an older post and copy the code to put onto a brand new post and just paste it in.

In fact, I have used the same code on different websites with the same template colors. The money shows up in my account so I figured it's fine.

If that is against The TOS I would like to know also, but I can't believe there's anything wrong with it. When the code is created, there is no mention of what website it will be used for. I have created url channels after the code has been installed.

You can copy paste the older code. In fact, you can save the code for each channel (site) and you can go to adsense setup>manage ads and then click on the code of the channel and then paste it to the web page. Hence, it is really allowed by google that you can paste the same code to multiple web pages. Otherwise, that option wouldn't be there.

Thank you for all of the replies everyone.

      Had another question pop up.

When you make a URL channel consisting of the root domain, then create additional pages and place adsense ads on them, will the impressions/clicks show up for the existing root domain channel? Or do you have to make a separate channel for each page?

I only ask because as I have been altering/adding to some of the pages I have ads on, the impressions I have made have not been showing up as they typically do.

When you make a URL channel, it will give you all the stats associated with that URL. No matter what page it's on.

If you want to separate the stats, you will need to create a new URL channel that uses the URL of the separate page. Example: www.yourdomain/page.com

        Hope that makes sense.

Nope, that's perfect. Just wanted to ensure all the inner pages counted toward the Main Domain Channel.

I prefer just to keep one channel per domain to ensure simplicity to some degree.

          Appreciate the info.
