Looking for really good PPC Automated Software

Hello and help!?

I'm totally new, and lost here, but I'm hoping that some amazing wizard/guru will be able to help me out :-)

I'm looking for really good 'PPC Automated Bidding Software' that is:

  • Able to set bid, spend and ROI parameters
  • Is based on a flat rate monthly fee, not a percentage of ad spend.
  • Is for direct marketing vs. ad agencies.
  • Has some really good tracking and ROI graph features.
I look forward to hearing any suggestions.

Thanks!
HeatherRai

you dont need a 3rd party automation tool to decide if you want to pay $50 a month, Adwords has a set budget configuration in each campaign you set up. Besides, it's not wise to set up small budgeted account campaigns, from what i have noticed, more you're willing to spend, the less you're charged overall. There's more to it than that, but there's plenty of free info out there to get an idea how to set up proper campaigns.

And google analytics is pretty simple to set up, there's free videos out there that show you how to create goals and track your sales conversion, etc.

There are tools within Adwords that can do a little of that but honestly I would NOT want something like that on automatic.

You could hire someone to manage your campaigns but it's worth it to learn it and just keep an eye on it a little every day yourself.

I don't know your specific reason but you do not really want something like that automated even if such a thing existed.

Just set certain limits in your account but ultimately you have to keep an occasional eye on it.

Sorry but I think that's just the way it is.

Thanks so much for responding, and please don't be sorry! God forbid I can't take advice when I asked for it in the first place ;-)

Actually, I am the hiree, and it seems that I really need to get into Google Adwords and see what functions can work for me.

I appreciate your time and all the responses.

I was thinking that the Google Adwords API was created for this purpose. Is it possible there are some applications that allow you to connect to the API and automate some tasks?

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

    Hi,

A really good tool to use is Speed PPC. It basically automates everything and ensures your landing pages are optimized for the lowest prices.

    I hope this helps!

Speed PPC rocks, but it doesn't manage bids and ROI for you. There were some companies at Ad-Tech that had sophisticated bid management software. But they charge something like 1K a month and 15% of your monthly spend. Does anyone know of something like this might exist for the individual marketer. It seemed like THAT software exists only for large ad agencies.

      Thanks again!

Well, you could just use the Adwords Editor, and simply change your bids and upload it, takes no more than a few minutes.

Hi Heather, I almost pulled the trigger on this a month ago but backed off at the last minute due to price. The package is very impressive but I was primarily interested in the PPC management like you.

Probably doesn't have every feature you want but it is nice.

BTW I am testing this feature in Google AdWords on one of my client accounts, only been a few days but seems OK so far and it's 100% hands off.

I highly recommend that you do not totally automated your whole ppc activities .

But , you can use some automated tools to speed up some areas of your activities so as to increase your efficiency. Google has many great tools to build highly successful campaign , if you are able to use them properly .

    Thanks,

    Shishay

I haven't had too much experience with software, but the ones I've seen don't do too much for you as a lot of decisions should be made by a human expert.

If you have programming experience, AdWords API would be a way to go with automating bid changes.
AdWords API team is starting to bring a lot of stuff from Google Analytics, like ConversionTrackingService, conversion values, etc.. so you can easily calculate your revenue and profit using just AdWords API.

Agree with Loz and Tommy. For some reason, lots of people think the secret to PPC management is about budgets and bids. It is not. All such software will do is change bids, that's it. It won't help improve your QS which is really the bottom line if you want more traffic at lower cost. Like Tommy, I don't believe a PPC campaign should be put on automatic, even if there was some software that could come up with great keywords and create high QS ads.

If you still want software, a search for "ppc management software" should provide lots. Ones I'm aware of all seem to be web-based but I'm sure you could find some that are desktop-based and either use the API, Adwords Editor or Adcenter Desktop.

Ken mentioned Speed PPC. As far as I know, what it does is help you create large campaigns. You supply the keywords and it creates groups and even generic ads I believe which you can then upload to your account. Never used it but I've seen online demos. The only use I see for it is generating all the different match types keywords. There are software just for that purpose however.
