HI everyone I am fairly new to this forum but not that new to SEO.So I know how to do good keyword research, SEO a site for the search engines and back linking down pretty good.

I have been fairly successful at gettting traffic naturally from the search engines in the past however I am now trying to launch sites in the health niche. Targeting low competition search terms. that all have less then 100,000 pages when searched for in quotes in Google and have very low strength of competition within the first 3 pages of Google in other words I look for Youtube.com Ezine Articles, article base stuff like that. However I am not seeing the results that I normally do. This is quite frustrating and was wondering If I could get some advice from more Experienced SEO experts.

I have a couple of questions number one is the Health niche incredibly hard to break into the top ten of Google? Does Google not allow/trust new sites that are health related?

Does it generally take longer for Health sites to rank? and if so how long and how can I shorten the process

Also are there SEO marketers in here who have had success with launching Sites in the health niche? and can some of you share some feedback as to how and what exactly yo you did differently then other niches in order to break into the top ten of Google.

Can someone please offer some guidance and share some of there experiences what works what doesn't work.

thanks in advance

Hey thanks for the reply. by Pharma do you mean drugs? most of my keywords have to do with natural remedies and cures. I don't want to be too specific but an example would be natural (health sub niche) remedy, or something like that. All of my keyword don't have much competition either in numbers or in the strength in competition. Usually the first three pages of Google have user generated content like youtube.com and ezine articles and I am using Rank checker software tool and not of the twenty sites I have launched in the health niche have shown any results in Rank checker.

I was wondering if Google has a special place for new sites that are health related. And if it takes longer to rank regardless of how good you do your keyword research. Anybody have much success in the health niche and with SEO care to chime in here and lend me a hand or offer some advice.

I was think about submitting my sites to directories could anyone recommend any good free SEO Friendly directories or care to share there experiences with the health niche

      thanks

Maybe the people who got the ezine, youtube vid etc at the top are building backlinks to it?

Nah what I meant when I research a potential keyword I always look at the strength of the competition of the first couple of pages. Ezine, youtube, and article base.com are all user generated content and can be beaten out in the search engines fairly easily in my experience. Heck using backlinks from Article underground I have beat out amazon.com many times.

My concern is whether or not Google has a special place in it's algorithm for new sites that are in the health niche? Does anyone know if this is so? Will it always take longer no matter how good you do you keyword research. And SEO your sites. Does anybody have much experience in the health niche?

Let's see, well if I wanted to rank for Russian girls looking for love with Australian hooker cats I'm sure it would be easy for me to rank in the top competition. Sorry for the smart ass answer but your question left open doors.

The Health niche is highly competitive and the top 10 positions are usually filled by companies with very deep pockets. Go after long tail keywords.

that is what I was afraid of.

Hey thanks did not see your reply. Most of my keywords are three to four words. In your experience how long does it take for a new site you create to break into the top ten. What Kind of backlinking do you do? Do you recommend submitting your sites to directories with high PR once they have been online for a couple of months?
