Question about Subdomains and Google QS.

I have a lot of blogs I have been using to sell various ClickBank products over the past year.

I have recently taken up PPC and am going crazy trying to keep 30+ sites ranked well organically.

Anyway,

I have gotten into split testing and want to test different keywords, landing pages, products etc.

Would this be a usable strategy?

Lets say my blog is widgets.com I have just say about 25 pages of content. Now I want to be able to test out lots of different keywords and possibly different products within the niche.

Say for example have a subdomain of red to give me red.widgets.com that sells product X.

I have another subdomain blue to give me blue.widgets.com that sells product Y.

Could I link both subdomains to the main blog widgets.com to help with quality score (more content on the blog)?

Also could I simply link to the contact and privacy pages on the main domain?

My goal is to be able to benefit from the content in the blogs and decrease costs by getting a better quality score for more keywords.

Would I be better off using folders than subdomains?

Any input appreciated.
