It's my understanding that having links on your page to other relevant pages on your website is good for SEO?

If this is the case, does it make any difference if your link is written like this:

http://www.website.com/dogtraining/

or

http://www.website.com/dogtraining/index.html

?

Thanks,
Chris

Internal links are good for SEO, one of the things that Google factors in is your navigation structure. However, if you can avoid it, I wouldn't recommend any of the two examples above, I would recommend adding it to the site with anchor text so your link would say Dog Training instead of the web address. If you are using one of the links above, then the first is your best choice

      Sorry, what I meant was:

      <a href="http://www.website.com/dogtraining/">Dog Training</a>

      or

      <a href="http://www.website.com/dogtraining/index.html">Dog Training</a>

Does it make any difference in terms of SEO?

      Thanks

very much agree with answer ...use anchor text with your URL ..using only URL wouldn't help in search engine ranking ..but it can help to increase your PR
