Way to use blogger to "test" Adsense sites!

Hi everyone,
Call me naive, dumb, whatever you like but just today in my SEO learning it dawned on me that I could use blogger.com (I think that's what it's called) to "test" Adsense sites for FREE!
What do I mean by that?
Instead of throwing a $10 domain registration down the drain of a failed Adsense site...I can just go on blogger and create a blog with the same site content. And then see how it does in the search engine ranking game.
If it does well...then it's a keeper and I can either register a domain for it and take it off blogger and host under my own domain or get this...I can actually have blogger point my domain to my blog on blogger! Which means that I will pay nothing to host it. Just the domain registration.
Now I know that for many here this is probably old news (I can see you yawning already).
But for me it's an eye opener with respect to throwing up a bunch of content to test keywords. One pagers. To see where they initially rank in Google.
Up to now I have registered domains and all that but only half the keywords I have targeted have been worth it so far. That's expensive poo poo to be throwing up on the wall to see what sticks though. I can't afford too many $10 shots at the wall if you catch my drift.
I think I will try the blogger route instead and see what sticks that way before I go sinking some hard earned dollars into another domain.
Pretty nifty if you ask me. Just thought I would share and see what comments come back on this thread to better check my logic or strategy.
Not that I take whatever is said on the Warrior Forum as Gospel truth. I don't! But comments here have helped direct my thinking in the past and maybe in regard to this blogger use idea...there's something I am not seeing which might not make it such a good idea.
