Way to boost Adsense sites with authority, outgoing one-way links!?
- SEO |
I focus on including one-way links to site that have high authority (not necessarily high PR per se but more importantly that show up with that + sign Google places under the site link such that you can be taken to more content at the site by clicking on it).
Anyway...the main problem with outgoing links is of course that visitors will disappear through the links to never click on an Adsense ad.
Not too big of a problem mind (I don't think) in that I place the links way down at the bottom of the page such that readers who get that far aren't likely to click out on an ad anyway. But still...
I have been wondering if Google reads links that are not live links? There is indication that they do. Does anyone have any links to authoritative sources that would support this theory (i.e. Matt Cutts or high profile SEO types)?
Or even personal experience with this?
Authority sites may on occasion want to link out to other authority sites but without including live links. Google is aware of this and may count those outgoing links the same as live links. At least that is what I have read.
The benefit in creating dead links at my Adsense sites is that I can include one-way outgoing links to authority sites and thus be looked on as a more valuable site by Google myself for doing so...while not making it easy for site visitors to leave my site other than by using the back button or clicking out through an Adsense ad.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Carlos
