Actually, I have 2 questions.

1. What do you think is a better revenue model for a website.

A) Membership
B) Adsense

2. Where can I find stats on adsense earnings for websites? Is there
a site like estibot where I can type in a site and get a rough idea
about their adsense income?

Thanks

People make good money selling to the rich. But the rich got rich selling to the masses.

Well if you are confused I suggest free membership with adsense revenue. What better than that. You make your adsense revenue and also get the persons email address so you can email them back for more offers.

Good point brp002, here's the issue.

I'm under the impression that you would get more visitors to your site if it were a free service, hence the potential for more adsense clicks.

More visitors yes. Everyone loves a free lunch, especially if you offer valuable information. But if you sell memberships at say $10 per month, wouldn't that make more revenues? Maybe not if your click revenues averaged $1 a click which is probably not the case.

Figure out the average revenue per click, the percentage of visitors clicking on ads, your average amount of traffic per month. Compare to percentage of same visitors becoming members (say 2% as low end) and your membership cost. Which is higher?

        You could do both too.

That's great advice. I know how to find the avg revenue per click and I can figure out the average amount of traffic.

          But,

How do I figure out the percentage of visitors clicking on ads unless I change the site?

Well since it is a free membership website you will get there information to email them later.

The great thing is you can use your emails to promote CPA.

Its a free service so they will come back and once a while click on ads. This is what I see in my business model.

What kind of business are you running?

        For my business this works.
