If You Find A KILLER Keyword With NO Competition What Is The Best Way To Rank For It?

I found a keyword that gets several thousands of searches a month and there is virtually no one on the front page for the term. I was wondering what is the best way for me to rank for this term. Should I write an article for EZA? Should I put it on some other site or my own? What do you think would be the best approach? Thank you

    Use exact match for the term and write an article backed up by another piece of content...like an audio of the content you wrote or video etc.

    And...

    Put it on your own page on your own server.

    Social bookmark it and ping it.

      If you have a keyword phrase that you believe is a buying keyword and it has no competition and "thousands of searches a month" , why not try and dominate page one rather than looking for the ONE best way to rank for the term!

      Write a few of decent articles around your keyword, put one on your site and then modify the others several times and place on high PR web 2.0 sites, such as Scribd, Blinkweb, Squidoo, Hubpages, Quizilla, Blog, LiveJournal, etc. Then pick bullet points from these articles and once again re-write and submit to EZA, go articles, articlesbase and any other high PR article directories. Turn your articles into blogs, podcasts and videos.

      Social Bookmark and backlink everything consistently and very soon rather than worrying about how best to rank for you term, your thoughts should turn to - how long before you are ranked from position 1-10 in several search engines!
