Article Marketing and SEO

Most of us know its easy to get backlinks from High PR Domains.. I myself run a service doing just that (check sig). For example we can get a DoFollow backlink from Youtube, or MP3.com very easily.

However the page of the backlink is an inner page, which always starts out as PR 0.

Now with Article Marketing (something Im finally getting into), the domains are high PR domains too, but the page with the article will also start out as a PR 0.

So I'm wondering why article marketing might be more valuable then simply creating a backlink in a youtube channel, etc?

My educated guess would be because of an article full of relevant content, as opposed to a mostly blank page.

But other then that they seem to really be the same idea - A powerful authority domain sending a link to your site, even If on an inner page.


Any other reasons why the articles may carry more power...? If they carried equal power, It would be MUCH faster and easier to ditch the article writing and just stick with the authority backlinks in general.

    Good articles will generate traffic to your site and maybe get used on other peoples sites if they are good enough.

    Imagine the different backlinks you will get from an article getting syndicated.

    I've just started article marketing myself and already I see other blogs picking it up and using it with the links in tact.

    In addition to getting your articles spread all over cyberspace, article marketing is about relevance because the search engines are about relevance. Search engines spider the linking site to determine the quality of the line. That's how they determine how much weight to place on the linking site.

    With article marketing, if you write a good article with relevant keywords, you can get your article ranked highly in the search engines. This can help with organic traffic directly from the article.

    As mentioned above, a great article can also go viral as other webmasters use it for content on their website, giving you more backlinks.

    seo is the way to increase the volume and traffic of your website.and if your article is very nice then its increase your traffic.

    The basic idea is the same. To me, it's about diversity...I can only make so many videos, just like I can only write so much each and every day.

    A syndicated article is worth its weight in gold because(like video I know) it can give you backlinks, but also drive traffic.

    I don't see a reason to work on doing both methods at the same time.
