Pinging Backlinks

Warriors,

As understand it's a good idea to backlink your backlinks. So say I have a backlink in the form of a squidoo page, I should then build further backlinks to this.

I also heard someone talking about pinging backlinks. How do you do this? What if it's not a squidoo page/hub page but a blog comment/profile link as per what you normally get in Angela's backlinks?

Wht i would suggest you to do bookmarking of that squidoo page and see the effect..!!

  Don't go crazy bookmarking the lens but definitely do a few bookmarks. Also, submit the lens to some social news sites like Digg and Propeller, as well as StumbleUpon.
  
  Get an RSS feed for your squidoo lens and submit that to a bunch of RSS directories (I LOVE RSSBot for this).
  
  Ping the Squidoo lens at Pingomatic or Pingoat.
  
  Using some different social bookmarking sites, also bookmark your submissions to Digg, Propeller, StumbleUpon, etc.

Chris,

You might want to check out a free WSO by Lisa Parmley (Warrior name: lisaann) that covers what you're looking for. It's a four video series, lasting about an hour, and it will give you some smart ways to draw attention to your lens.

You have to opt-in for the videos but if you don't like that idea you can get the PDF version without opting-in.

For the sake of clarity let me say that I'm not connected with Lisa other than as a happy purchaser of her course, which I got after watching the videos in WSO I'm talking about.
