Scribd and DocStoc Backlinks Questions......

So I`m looking to release a couple of website and my main way of promotion for them will probably be article marketing. My question is related to Scribd and DocStoc which I remember that I`ve red somewhere that their links doesn`t count as backlinks as they are not picked up by search engines. I`m talking about the links we are able to put in our Research Box of our articles.

What do you guys know about this?

      I don`t remember where. I think it was on one of their support pages.
