hi guyz..

just want to ask if any of you have tried doing a subdomain landing page (ex.www.example.com/moneymaker/)

I'm a bit on a budget and wanted to test out some offers. And buying domain for each of the offer will be a bit expensive, and I was thinking of buying one domain and make subdomains to different kind of offers in one domain name using PPC. Has anyone have an experience of how did google react whether your quality score drop or did you able to make your qualit score up? or did you able to gain some profit using landing pages with subdomains?

hope you can share some insights..

really appreciate it..

thanks

The example you provided is a *subdirectory*, not a *subdomain*

    A subdomain would be:
    http://moneymaker.example.com
    Signature

Yes you may use a sub domain or sub directory and if your site was about the oceans 11 you may use a sub marine.

you are required to place you main domain name in the display URL and and sub domain name or sub directory name can be added if you wish or left out.

so for your example you could have as your display URL

    www.example.com
    example.com
    Example.com
    www.moneymaker.example.com
    moneymaker.example.com
    www.example.com/moneymaker
    Example.com/MoneyMaker
    Example.com/Submarine

the most important part is this

    example.com

that must be in every variant, and very new rules soon to be released is the shared main URL like blogspot where your sub must also now be used as in

    mysite.blogspot.com

    thanks for the comments guyz...

but even using a subdirectory or a subdomain in your display url in PPC and use it as a landing page with your main domain name..like
    Ex.www.examples.com/moneymakers/ - money making landingpage
monemakingblog.examples.com - blog making landing page
    www.examples.com/reversephone - reversephone landing page.

if you have one domain and lets say 5 subdomains and subdirectory each in a different landing page.

does anyone tried it out to get a good quality score or did it get some good conversions even thou you have this type as your landing pages in each..

    ?

the answer is yes it is probably done very often, does it guarantee a high q score or conversion rate ? = no there is no way to say that, we do not know the content on that page / relevance nor do we know how good your copy is, your price points or even the product itself

on the flip side can you get a good q score and conversions well yes, provide good content relevance with all other factors in play a q 10 score is possible along with a good conversion rate

thanks tryinhere for the comments..but have you tried any of these in any of your campaigns?

maybe it will be good at the very start when you are testing your campaign but in the later part once you get your campaign that its converting maybe it will be the start of making a good landing page with a new domain for it..

i heard some that have done this but never confirm anything of how it did..

anyone can share if you have tried any of this?

    thanks

I currently run a similar method with PPC, but I use a Wordpress blog as the main content site and all my landing pages are relevant to the main blog.

      For example, I use example.com/keyword-rich-landing-page.

The Wordpress blog is usually centered around a broad topic like "weight loss" and on the main blog I have lots of valuable content related to that subject.

Then, I use the landing pages for specific keywords I want to target by putting the keywords in the title tags, the url (example: blogaboutweightloss.com/lose-weight-fast ) and in the contents of the page.

Then I put links back to the main blog so when the spiders crawl my landing page, it leads back to the original content rich blog.

I usually get really good quality scores this way, however, I use this method for list building.

If you are trying to do this with CPA, then the only way I think it works is if you are providing value on your landing pages and linking back to the original content rich blog in some way.

As a caution though, Google will still follow all the links on your landing page and if your links are going to a site that Google doesn't like they will still penalize you.

I suggest that you build a list if you want to use this method because you have more control over the audience that way.

It's hard to satisfy Google. The only way to do that is to provide a good user experience.

What works for me best is when you are building a list by sending people to landing pages that offer value and relevant content.

I think the idea of using landing pages or bridge pages are a thing of the past and you are asking for trouble from Google if you are not providing a good user experience by sending people to content rich, relevant sites.

Just my two cents, but hope that helps.
